Best YA Literature

Another list!

NPR are calling for votes on the best YA literature. They’re now narrowed it down to 200-odd entries based on peoples’ suggestions. I decided to take a look at how many I’ve started, finished, or plan to read.

Format borrowed from KiwiRia.

The ones that are in bold are the ones I have read all of, the ones in italics indicates a note, where I either read at least one of the series and then either decided to stop or may eventually continue. The ones starting with *** I really want to read.

  1. Okay, I couldn’t get through your whole list because I wanted to yell from the rooftops for you to read Sherman Alexie and Markus Zusak. They are like the kings of YA Lit. Promise me you’ll read their books asap! I just re-read To Kill a Mockingbird and finished tonight and I didn’t realize how much I should have loved that book in high school – it’s such a gem! You have great picks as well (the bolded ones) which is your favorite and I promise to read that one soon. : )

    1. Haha, will do! 🙂

I’d say read Cinder by Marissa Meyer (devoured it in a day and literally read it while walking down the street, which is very unlike me) and the Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness.

      Thank you for stopping by!

      1. I’ve read Cinder and I can NOT wait for the next one to come out. BAH! I’m so excited. I will definitely take you up on the Chaos Walking Trilogy since you loved Cinder so much and you read it walking down the street. Talented!
